These queens are good for both beginners and experts. These are a very fascinating species to watch as the move in such a way that it looks like your watching them at 5 frames a second giving them the common name strobe ants. These ants are of a medium sized, the queen being about 1cm and the workers getting up to 8mm. These ants are one of Australia’s more colourful species having bright orange and black bands.
