Myrmecia: 

PILIVENTRIS

The Myrmecia piliventris was caught near Singleton (North of Sydney NSW, North West of Newcastle NSW). She was caught foraging on leaf litter on the forest floor. 

1 Myrmecia Piliventris with 5 BIG LARVAE, 1 NEW LARVAE and 1 FAT EGG, caught 05/04/25 and is currently kept in a Dillants Small Founding Nest & Outworld Combo. She is really healthy at the moment, foraging around her outworld when needed and is VERY physogastric!! She spent around 1 and a half weeks wetting and moving sand every day, moulding the nest with it and now has created a founding chamber she feels comfortable in, would highly recommend buying with the nest!!

TARSATA

The 2 Myrmecia tarsatas was caught very recently. Both have a wing scar, so 100% queens. They are both very active, look healthy and are drinking raw honey and water daily, are both accepting mealworms and crickets for protein. Their laying cycle start approx. June so still caring for them until then. 

1 Myrmecia Tarsata SINGLE QUEEN, caught 19/03/25 and she’s kept in a tub and tube setup. Takes loads of protein (mealworms)

BREVINODA

All 2 Myrmecia brevinodas were caught quite recently, cozily nested under a rock, meaning they’re founding queen, so 90% fertile. They are quite active, looks healthy and are drinking raw honey and water daily, are fed mealworms and crickets for protein. Fresh water and honey are provided to them 24/7. 

1 Myrmecia Brevinoda with 1 FAT LARVAE, 2 NEW LARVAE, 2 EGGS, caught on 19/02/25 under rock. She is currently in a tub and tube setup. 

This one has been laying a lot recently and actively forages in her outworld. She used to have 8 eggs but ate 6 of them, 1 egg remaining and 1 hatched into a larvae, she laid another 6 eggs a few weeks ago. Fed crickets every 2 days. Has 1 very big larvae and 2 newly hatched larvae.

1 Myrmecia Brevinoda with 14 NEW EGGS, caught on 28/02/25 at base of tree. She is currently in a custom nest placed inside a tub. 

This one has been laying a lot after eating her old batch of eggs due to the cold weather and actively forages in her outworld.
